Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Text Toolkit at textops.io(the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Text Toolkit provides a collection of free, browser-based text utilities — word and character counting, case conversion, lorem ipsum generation, markdown previewing, and readability scoring. All processing happens locally in your browser; no account is required.
2. Use of the Service
You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes free of charge. You are responsible for the text and content you process using the tools and for ensuring that your use complies with any laws and third-party rights that apply to that content.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the operation of the Service or the networks that host it.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission.
- Use automated means to scrape or extract content at a volume that imposes an unreasonable load on the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
4. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, branding, code, copy, and underlying logic, is owned by Text Toolkit and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The text you process and any output generated from your text remain yours. We claim no ownership over your content or the results the tools produce from it.
5. Third-party content and advertising
The Service displays advertising served by Google AdSense and may link to third-party websites. We do not control the content of advertisements or third-party sites and are not responsible for their accuracy, legality, or practices. Your interactions with advertisers and third-party sites are solely between you and them.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability. Readability scores, word counts, and other analytical output are estimates intended for general guidance and may not match the requirements of any particular style guide, examination board, or platform.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Text Toolkit and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the greatest extent permitted.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Text Toolkit from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
9. Modifications to the Service
We may add, change, or remove tools and features at any time without notice. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service in whole or in part. We are not liable for any disruption arising from such changes.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of the Service is established. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to alexgray34@protonmail.com. See the contact page for other ways to reach us, and our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
